About The Competition
Mr. Boston is “America’s Drink Authority” and the original and trusted drinks source since 1935. The Mr. Boston portfolio of Liqueurs and Schnapps provides the highest quality ingredients to make the best tasting cocktails for any occasion.
Make us a drink that tells your story! It should be balanced, unique and deliciously drinkable, but it should also tell a story of your place. That can be where you’re from or where you are now (or that important place along the way). That place could be the bar you work(ed) at, the neighborhood, city, state or somewhere special. Tell us the story with the ingredients you have selected, and in your own words tell us how this cocktail represents you!
Here's what we need from you:
One (1) cocktail that tells the story, including the recipe, story and a short (up to 45 second) video on why it's great.
For the drink you must use at least one of the following Mr. Boston Liqueurs or Schnapps with a minimum of 1⁄2 oz of:
- Liqueurs: Crème de Cacao, Melon, Amaretto, Anisette, Crème de Menthe, Crème de Café, Blue Curacao, Crème de Banana, Triple Sec, Black Raspberry
- Schnapps: Cinnamon, Peach, Sour Cherry, Peppermint, Sour Strawberry, Sour Grape, Sour Apple, Watermelon, Butterscotch
NOTE: (You’re welcome to use more than one the above items if your recipe calls for it)
If your cocktail incorporates spirits, you must use AT LEAST 51% Sazerac brands. This will be judged through your recipe.
You may use any ingredients you choose, including homemade and or difficult to source items, but know that when you are selected to compete for the live competition, you will have to provide enough of those items to make drinks for the judges, as well as samples that will be served to the audience, for a total of 40 full-sized cocktails.
Criteria for submission judging (100-point scale):
NOTE: During live finals, additional judging criteria such as technique, knowledge of the Mr. Boston brand or products, and presentation may also be scored.
